Activities

Ibenstein is home to 17 species of African plains game, some predator species and various small animals.  Game drives are offered in the mornings or afternoons, generally for 3 hours.  You will be able to see Kudu, Oryx, Giraffe, Springbok, Impala, Waterbuck, Gnu and many more. The route takes you through the beautiful landscapes of Ibenstein.

You can book your scenic flight with the experienced owner who holds a private pilot license.  Flights are offered around the farm and neighboring surrounding.  The birds eye view of the area is just amazing, and many animals can be seen from above.  We can only take one passenger at a time and recommend flights early in morning or late afternoon to take beautiful photos.

Ibenstein is home to about 300 species of birds, of which about 140 are common residents.  View them around the lodge, during a game drive, a hike or sit near a waterhole to observe the birds. It is common to see up to 50 different bird species in a day.

You can walk through our ancient Camelthorn forest, just hike along the African bushland savannah or perhaps climb a mountain.  You will be rewarded with beautiful landscapes and will see some plains game and a variety of birds.

Ibenstein is proud to offer this new activity for the riding enthusiasts.  You can book your riding lesson with our professional riding coach and horse trainer.  We also offer outrides to see some of the farm's most beautiful places and encountering the game from horseback. For the brave, we offer overnight outrides with a barbeque dinner in the bush with an overnight stay under the breathtaking Namibian stars.
